Before you can own who you are you must understand who you are. Before you understand who you are you have to care. It’s very hard for any of us to get the best out of life if we don’t understand who we are.

There is no doubt that behavior drives outcomes in every part of life. If we want to experience positive outcomes then we must determine what drives behavior. In a nut shell who we are drives our behavior. Perhaps a better way to say it is who we are causes us to put meaning on everything which causes us to have feelings which then drive behavior and the related results.
The message is, take the time to observe yourself and your behaviors and track them back to the reasons for the behaviors. You may find that once you have a better understanding of who you are and what triggers your behaviors you may be able to make changes that will drive different behaviors and more positive results.

Make self-understanding and then self-mastery a lifelong project.
